LCAD Student Project to create a collection game for Fundamentals of Game Art class. The initial concept is a jungle themed game where a Mamma Bird has had her eggs stolen and hidden around the island by jungle enemies. The game player is supposed to find all the eggs while avoiding enemies. (Unfortunately, we didn't have time to incorporate the enemies but the game is still playable.)
The game is the work of a team of 2 people, myself and Guilles Cortez, for a 6 week project. I modeled and painted the terrain, islands, mountains, rocks, map, bird nest, end of game screens, initial practice game layout, incorporated water shader/animation, and did specific point lighting. Guilles did the monkey skull cave with stairs, ruins/columns, player character, and bird, egg collectibles, sound, and programming and character animation work in Unity. (We used existing assets for the foliage package from the instructor which I laid out, and Guilles added color texture. ) Programs used - 3ds Max, Adobe Substance Painter, and Unity. Guilles used the Recorder in Unity to create this video.
